She used to
say that Greece can make any man artist," She used to say the same. In the
old course (1899-1998) Ellie Sougioutzoglou-Seraidari, historical photographer
lso known as “Nelly’s”,used to make spot-on
references to the ancient beauty. Following the recent exhibition at DD sixty
famous and less-known works (the ethereal images of nude dancers on the
Parthenon, which had shocked the audience of the time, and muscular athletes
with background iconic landscapes of the ancient world, details busts imprinted
with the classic German photographic education and daily snapshots from Plaka,Athens)
will be presented in the custody of Joan and Jeff Basdeki Vanterpoul in
monastic building of “long Room”, which sends us back in time at Pikermi
(opening: 26/4/2013, 8 pm).
